ACT Math Test Taking Tips

1) The Act Math section draws from a finite body of grade
school and high school math subjects. My classes cover
these specific subjects that test makers use to formulate
questions. Knowing the specific knowledge and skill sets
required will definitely improve your chances of getting
correct answers.

2) Time is of the essence on the math section. Knowing
how to budget your time so you answer the questions that
you have a high probability of answering correctly is a key
skill  I teach in my classes.

3) The final score is based on the total number of correct
answers. If you don't know or run out of time, make your
best guess. I teach how to use the process of elimination
to increase your odds for the more challenging questions.

4) Answer the question asked. Test makers may devise
questions so you solve for one answer, but the question
requires a different answer. I teach how to avoid this trap
by focusing on answering the question asked.

5) Question makers put in road blocks designed to slow
you down. I teach students how to identify and overcome
these roadblocks so they won't lose vital time.

6) As with other challenges in life, confidence is a key to
success. I teach my classes so students not only develop
knowledge but also develop the confidence required to
score well.
